The Soil Survey of Northampton County, Virginia contains a Soil Survey map
set of 21 sheets. To date, only the Cape Charles and Cheriton areas have
been put in digital form. These areas corespond to sheet 13 and sheet 14,
west of Mockhorn Bay. For more information on this dataset refer to
soilmeta.htm or the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service
book which accompanies the map set.
Base maps are orthophotographs perpared by the U.S. Department of the
Interior, Geological Survey, from 1982 aerial photography. Coordinate
grid ticks and land division corners, if shown, are approximately positioned.
